National Standards for Grades 6-12
Students design a filtration system, determine the materials to use, test filtration effectiveness, then compare the success of their design to others. The project makes a great accompaniment to support lessons on the water cycle, ground water filtration, water purification, or designing water filtration systems for third world countries. The kit is easily adaptable for use with alternative or additional filtration materials.
