National Standards for Grades 2-3
Explore the effects of erosion on the Earth's surface as you model the impact of waves and rivers. Students get their hands dirty to measure the effects of small and large waves in the ocean, then model a solution to reduce the effects of erosion. Next, students model the formation of a lake or river due to erosion over time. A great tool for modeling erosion and introducing the role of water in creating land forms. Allow 2 hours for instruction & 1.5 hours of lab time.
